Just for you, a quick walkthrough of submitting images to any of the PicoLib sites. We will assume that you have already registered on the site, but if you haven’t, you can either register by going to the Multi-Site Registration page, or by registering manually on every site you want to upload to. The choice is yours…
So lets get cracking… First we need to select out images. If we have a few images we want to upload, we can upload up to 5 images simultaneously, as long as : - They do not have a combined file size of more than 20mb and…
- They all have the same categories
When you select your images, make sure that they do in fact meet the minimum requirements of a short side that is longer than 2,000px (a typical 6mp camera produces images that is 2,006 x 3,009px) The next step is to log in to the specific site you want to upload images to.
Click on the Add Photos menu item: A new page will open up. Make sure you read all and adhere to all the requirements for uploading: >> Please only upload JPG files. Unless your images have embedded IPTC Data, all images uploaded together will have the same keywords, title, and description.
To avoid this, please embed your IPTC data or upload images one at a time.
All images uploaded together will have the same categories
You must be in possesion of a legal MODEL RELEASE for any image submitted which features recognisable people.
The combined file sizes for any group of files to be uploaded (or any one file) may not exceed 20mb.

At this point you want to select your images (1 at a time. Please select only 1 image per upload space: If you did not imbed you Keywords, Title and Description in the images, you need to add them now. Without good keywords, your images will not be found by the search facility, and will also most probably be rejected by the image reviewers. Please keep in mind that if you add keywords on the form on this page, then all the images uploaded simultaneously will have the same Title, Description and Keywords. You must now also select the relevant categories for your images. If the images will fit into multiple categories, first choose your main category, and then choose a second category in the second Category dialogue box: Right below this Dialogue box you will see a note that says: | ALSO CREATE THESE OTHER VERSIONS OF THIS PHOTO | | | Our site will automatically create the following sizes for sale along with the original photos uploaded. Only smaller sizes will be created. NO UPSIZING WILL OCCUR
4-5mp | 2800(pixels) | R28.00 5-6mp | 3000(pixels) | R28.00 6-8mp | 3500(pixels) | R30.00 8-10mp | 3800(pixels) | R32.00 10-12mp | 4200(pixels) | R56.00 12-16mp | 4900(pixels) | R58.00 16-22mp | 5500(pixels) | R60.00 |

What this means is that the site will automatically create smaller versions of your images for sale to the image buyers. The site wil only create images smaller than the actual size, never bigger! When you click SUBMIT, the images will start uploading. This may take a while depending on your connection speed and the ammount of images you are trying to upload simultaneously. When the upload is done, thenext page will automatically open with the Administration Menu plus some information about your uploads. If the page does not display the filnames of the images you have just uploaded, then there might have been a problem with the upload or files. either: - The connection timed out
- The combined file sizes of the files exceeded 20mb
- One or more of the files have an actual size smaller than 2,000px on the shortest side
- One or more of the files are corrupt in some way
Please check your files and/or selection, and try again. If you made a mistake in your choice of categories, you can check your files by going to the View/Edit Photos I have for sale menu. You can also change your titles and keywords here. Once you have made your changes, the file will go back into the reviewer's queue to be re-checked. If you get stuck at any point, or want to request expansion of the categories, please send an e-mail to
